Hollis Heimbouch VP, Publisher

Hollis is Vice President/Publisher of Harper Business and an Executive Editor at Harper, both imprints of HarperCollins. Prior to joining HarperCollins in 2008, she was Associate Publisher/Editorial Director of Harvard Business Press and a contributing editor to Harvard Business Review. In more than 25 years in publishing, she has published numerous bestselling authors including Jim Collins, Clayton Christensen, Ben Horowitz, Katty Kay, Satya Nadella, Claire Shipman, and Gary Vaynerchuk. In 2017, she received the third annual Jack Covert Award for Contribution to the Business Book Industry. A native Nebraskan, she is an avid runner and a triathlete.

Brian Perrin VP, Marketing

Brian has 25 years’ experience in the book business and brings a full 360-degree view of the industry to Harper Business, having worked as an Editorial Director and Associate Publisher (Running Press), marketing manager (William Morrow), rights buyer (Doubleday Direct), retail buyer (, and digital-product developer (Rodale and NBC Universal). He won two consecutive Digital Book Awards as former Executive Director of Digital Product Development at HarperCollins, and was closely involved with expanding the company’s non-traditional and digital marketing channels.

Stephanie Hitchcock Editor

Stephanie specializes in commercial nonfiction that offers solutions to life›s challenges in the workplace and at home. She started as a bookseller and fell in love with handselling her favorite titles. Stephanie has a passion for the entrepreneurial process of publishing, from proposals to getting finished books in the hands of eager readers. She has worked with critically acclaimed and New York Times bestselling authors, including Sarah Lacy, Jesse Mecham, Liz Wiseman, Jennifer Romolini, Daniel J. Levitin, and Brooke Shields.

Penny Anna Makras Associate Director, Marketing

Penny began her career as a Publicity Assistant at St. Martin’s Press, working on fiction titles. In 2005, she joined AMACOM Books as a Special Sales Manager and then shifted into their marketing department, promoting their business, health, and self-help titles. She moved to John Wiley & Sons in 2009 as a Marketing Manager on a variety of non-fiction areas and worked closely on digital products and enhanced e-books. She joined HarperCollins in 2014.

Rebecca Raskin Editorial Assistant

Rebecca comes to Harper Business from Kensington Publishing and works with Hollis Heimbouch. Before Kensington, she was at Folio Literary Management. She is also the Digital Chair of Young to Publishing, a subcommittee of the AAP. Her editorial interests include narrative non-fiction, women’s issues, popular science, health and fitness, and sociology.

Laura Cole Marketing Assistant

After graduating from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and Professional Writing, Laura followed her lifelong love of books to New York City instead of returning to her Colorado roots. She first joined Harper Business as a marketing intern—and stayed! She loves the way the written word can connect, transport, and inspire readers and is particularly interested in health and fitness, women’s issues, and travel.

Hannah Long Editorial Assistant

Prior to joining Harper Business, Hannah worked as a freelance writer based in Appalachian Virginia. Her work has appeared in The Weekly Standard and American Consequences, covering topics as varied as politics, religion, mythology, and film.
